Distinct CNC programs
CNC programs specify the
workpiece or complete furniture to be
manufactured. In most cases, manufacturing
sequences have to be defined, as well as the
necessary tools and machining paths -
individually for each CNC machine. In order
to achieve variability on the machine, there
are basically two different approaches:
Either one uses a variable machine program,
which should contain all possible options
beforehand, or one creates a separate
program for each workpiece. With a variable
program, the whole manufacturing logic is
created and managed in advance by the
production department - usually in a
machine-specific manner. As a result, it can
happen that a part is not produced in the
way the customer had requested it, because
the customer's requirements are not
addressed in the existing production logic.
This is why, in the case of customer-specific manufacturing, the approach of one CNC program per workpiece is the right choice, with all manufacturing information being derived directly from the virtual 3D model, at the required point in time. In doing so, the efficient use of the entire CNC machine park is guaranteed at all times by various optimization levels. In addition PASCAM Bea creates CNC programs that be read and changed - e.g. for the appplication at WOP systems - offering the manufacturing department comprehensive intervention options at any time in order to be able to use its practical skills in a targeted manner on site at the production line. |
